I teach what I have practised

My yoga began in 2003 with Simplified Kundalini Yoga, taught in the tradition of Swamy Vethathri Maharishi. In my first week I was initiated into Agna meditation, and I have practised and studied ever since.

After years of teaching in India, I moved to Spain in 2018 and started with a small group. That grew into yoga therapy, and about four years of sessions with clients gave me a deeper understanding of how yoga can influence the way a person perceives their body and mind.

I believe yoga is a unique experience for each individual.

Read my full story

I practised postures, meditation and pranayama regularly while I kept studying and reading. The diploma in Simplified Kundalini Yoga took me into masculine and feminine energies, Shiva and Shakthi, and the movement and evolution of energy.

My master's in Yoga for Human Excellence at Bharathiar University gave me a wider knowledge of meditation, pranayama and postures, and of how they support the flow of energy in the body.

Today I teach from what I have experienced, with care for the whole of body, mind and soul. Understanding the basics and practising regularly is what lets each of us move forward with more clarity.

Body, breath, mind, then stillness

The practice moves in one direction, from the body inward. Each stage prepares you for the next, so depth arrives when you are ready for it.

  1. 01

    Body

    Gentle movement

Small movements for the joints, done with awareness and concentration. The body becomes attentive and ready.

  2. 02

    Practice

    Hatha Yoga

Postures become a bridge to subtler awareness: how the body relates to the chakras and the subtle body.

  3. 03

    Breath

    Pranayama

Breathwork introduced gradually, from simple breathing to deeper pranayama as your readiness grows.

  4. 04

    Mind

    Introspection

Watching your thoughts and the patterns behind them, until the mind is settled enough to concentrate.

  5. 05

    Voice

    Chanting

Sound and rhythm, offered with devotion, gather your attention into a quieter inner space.

  6. 06

    Stillness

    Meditation

The practice settles into meditation. Less doing, more presence.

A quiet moment from a morning practice: one slow breath.

What students say

I had never done yoga before. Mahima starts slowly and explains why we do each movement, so after a month I could follow the whole class without watching the screen.

Lucía M. Valencia · Gentle Foundations

The private sessions are built around my questions. We spent two weeks on breathing alone before adding anything else, and that patience was exactly what I needed.

Priya S. Chennai · Private sessions

I came for the breathwork workshop and stayed for the meditation. She builds each practice step by step, so the deeper work feels possible.

Hannah W. Bristol · Breathwork, Level I

A yoga mat, a saffron cushion and a laptop set up for an online class in a sunlit room.
Do I need any yoga experience?

No. Gentle Foundations is made for complete beginners, and every class starts with the body before moving to breath and meditation. If you are unsure where to begin, message me and we can talk it through.

What do I need for an online class?

A mat or a folded blanket, a cushion to sit on, and a quiet corner where your laptop or phone can see you. Classes run on Zoom, and the link arrives after you book.

Classes are taught in English and Spanish.

How does a private session work?

We begin with a short conversation about your practice and what you would like to explore. From there I shape each session around you, at your pace.

Can I join from another time zone?

Yes. The timetable shows Spain time with your local time beside it, and private sessions are arranged around your day.

How do I pay?

Once your place is confirmed, you receive a secure payment link.
